New year, new trailer for Marvel's upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.

Really, it looks great but that's only what you expect of a Marvel trailer.

No we're not going to beat up Marvel for over-using a formula which works.

It's just that, apart from Phase Four which was decidedly wobbly, they've set and maintained a very high standard in film making for such a long time that you see a trailer for what appears to be a good superhero film with spectacular special effects and it's just what you expect of them.

The story stakes are obviously always high. So also no surprise there.

We're super over the whole multiverse business which will continue to run through this and the next phase, so not drooling in anticipation for this one ourselves.

But we will see it eventually and hope that this film which begins Phase Five marks a return to earlier high standards.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania premieres in Australian cinemas on February 16.
