We now have an official trailer for what looks like a B'ish grade sci-fi drama, Broadcast.

Production quality wise the trailer looks fine but story-wise it's hitting a sour note for us.

What's it about?

After an eccentric billionaire creates a drug called INOC which stops the aging process effectively eliminating death itself, the future of a world where death no longer exists is seen. Through a seemingly harmless children's toy, the story of the fate of mankind is told while also revealing an elusive truth to its unknowing spectator.

What's so sour?

This line from the trailer:

What arrongance. To think we had the right.

Ye olde scientific arrogance trope served with a huge pile of religious imagery.

Over it.

Would immortality really be such a bad thing?

For example, every piece of non-recyclable rubbish we throw in a bin today is a problem which we would have to deal with eventually.

If life could be forever, many might be much less inclined to violence and take much greater care of their own and others' safety.

Broadcast is releasing this month but we don't have any details for availability downunder yet.
