We are looking forward to Netflix's new Resident Evil series but tonally it seems like a different show from one promo to the next ranging from action horror to comedy.

Entertainment can be multi-layered and some of the best zombie films and series are in equal measure horror, action and comedy.

Is that what we're seeing here in this darker trailer?

Hopefully it's that rather than a show suffering from an identity crisis.

Can't know until we see it which we will soon.

Resident Evil releases on Netflix on July 14.
