Reported today via Twitter, former Doctor Who writer Bob Baker has died.
While probably a not a recognisable name except maybe to the most die-hard of Doctor Who fans, Bob co-created the Doctor's widely adored robot dog K9.
He also wrote for Wallace and Gromit, for which he won a BAFTA.
Possibly a dog lover.
Certainly those shows and characters have brought much delight into the world.
