Doomlands is a new animated adult ozzie themed sci-fi comedy series premiering this week on Roku.

What's Roku? A streaming device and channel not available in Australia.

Of course.

So what is this new sci-fi show which we won't be able to watch downunder?

“Doomlands” looks at the life of the infamous Danny Doom and aspiring bartender, Lhandi, as they sling beers across a hellish wasteland in their mobile pub: The Oasis. Facing ruthless desert gangs, memory-stealing creeps, and even mean bathroom graffiti, all this crew’s got to do to survive is not kill each other.

The show was originally greenlit for shortlived streaming service Quibi.

Will we ever get this show in Australia? We don't know but will keep an eye out for it.

For the benefit of any readers from the US, Canada or UK, Doomlands premieres on The Roku Channel on January 28.
