THQ Nordic have announced a March 1 2022 release date for their futuristic post apocalyptic RPG Elex 2 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X.

They describe it as "science-fantasy". Players have the choice of medieval or advanced technological weaponry and also magic (like) or psionic abilities.

Magalan is in dire need of a hero: The factions are inches away from starting an open war and the world is still haunted by monsters of all different kinds. A new force is rising, threatening to change the face of the planet forever. It's about time for you to return to Magalan, put on Jax's boots, and kick some ass. The survival of mankind depends on it. 

The original was widely regarded as flawed but potentially enjoyable and it developed a following. Both for combat and exploration its jetpack was popular.
