Miasma May

Tactical roleplaying game Miasma Chronicles has been given a May 23 release date, announced of course with a shiny new trailer.

Or rather not. True to the game's title it's more dark, murky and mysterious and itself titled "Revelations Must Be Earned".

Infinitesimals

One of the major hits (15 million copies sold) of recent years was shrunken backyard survival game Grounded in which you (and friends) are zapped by a mad scientist and seek to return to normal size.

It will soon be joined in the miniature league by third person action adventure game Infinitesimals in which you play a teensy, tiny alien with advanced technologies who with his crew, land on a "mysterious" planet which looks like it might be Earth.

Burning Shores Pre-Order

Robots and dinosaurs are two of our favourite things so not owning a PlayStation we often feel a twinge of envy reporting on the Horizon franchise.

Looking at the pre-order trailer for the Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC we'd upgrade that to a sear.

Project M Gameplay

Last year Korean developer and publisher NCSoft unveiled an Unreal Engine 5 sci-fi interactive movie with superb visuals which caught our eye but didn't offer many details.

They've now shared a gameplay reveal.

Ridiculous Zack

After just recently teasing some kind of continuation of his DC Justice League stories which most were not expecting, film director Zack Snyder has teased a "ridiculous scale" roleplaying game related to his Netflix Rebel Moon films.

The first of which is expected in December.

Jedi Survivor Story

Electronic Arts this morning released the story trailer for action roleplaying game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and we are nonplussed.

It begins with fortune cookie "wisdom" about fire being cosy but dangerous, and ends with the suggestion that a place is only worth fighting for if the Empire isn't there.

Steamworld Mine

In January Thunderful Games unveiled post-apocalyptic steampunk construction and management simulator SteamWorld Build.

We were impressed and are pleased to see something new in their latest gameplay trailer - mining.

Stolen Animations

In the matter of those suspiciously similar Elden Ring animations found in the recently released post apocalyptic souls like Bleak Faith: Forsaken, it appears that sci-fi didn't steal from fantasy but was in possession of stolen goods.

Developer Archangel Studios have committed to replacing all stolen assets in their game.

Order of the Apocalypse

Amid persistent rumours that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will be delayed to later this year or next and with last year's Marvel Midight Suns and Gotham Knights both bombing to different extents, fans of comic inspired or themed gaming might be pleased to know that there's another indie title looking to scratch your itch - Lethal Honor: Order of the Apocalypse for which there is now a gameplay overview trailer.

Void Crew

A new developer with absolutely no information about themselves on their website - just an email address inviting you to ask them questions and an outdated 2018 copyright notice giving us some indication of their age - has unveiled Void Crew.

A co-op space ship simulator which allows you (and friends) to walk around, customise and operate your vessel. The trailer has a decidedly comedic slant.
