Infinitesimals

One of the major hits (15 million copies sold) of recent years was shrunken backyard survival game Grounded in which you (and friends) are zapped by a mad scientist and seek to return to normal size.

It will soon be joined in the miniature league by third person action adventure game Infinitesimals in which you play a teensy, tiny alien with advanced technologies who with his crew, land on a "mysterious" planet which looks like it might be Earth.

It’s a big world out there when you’re only a few millimeters tall.

Explore seemingly giant environments from a miniature perspective - using high-tech weaponry, vehicles, and high mobility to survive.

There are several other "mini" games like this in development but it's a relatively untapped genre and this alien angle is, we think, virginal. Or at least close to.

We often compare release dates which this year are tightly packed and automatically think of games competing with each other, because they really do.

Player time, money and attention are all limited and many games are not incredibly dissimilar from a huge pile of games which preceded them.

But Infinitesimals is so unique that it might stand head and shoulders above whatever else releases in its vicinity.

These are indie developers (Cubit) and this is their first game so we perhaps should temper expectations, but last year's Stray was also a first title from an indie studio (BlueTwelve) and it was a commercial and critical hit.

Infinitesimals is releasing on PC (Epic) "soon".
