CCP Games have announced that EVE Fanfest will return to Reykjavík, Iceland on May 5 - 8, 2022, after a two year COVID hiatus.

Tickets are pricey - $150 USD for early bird and $295 for regular.

Eve Online is one of the rare success stories in the MMO industry, launching a year before the biggest of those, World of Warcraft, all the way back in 2003.

In an industry where so many have sad, short lives, to be approaching the two decade mark and hosting big events like this, they've got to be happy.

It's a really well designed game, but player-versus-player sandbox isn't everyone's joy.

Though that crowd is clearly not small. Even without the benefit of an established intellectual property like Star Wars or Star Trek, it has always been a popular game.
