Flat Tardis
Posted By:

No, this isn't news that our next Doctor Who will be travelling to the two dimensional universe.

This is news from the UK Sun that our next Tardis will be wheelchair accessible.

They quote an insider:

These modifications aren’t just a sign of changing times, they’re also down to some of the characters who’ll feature on the show.

Video footage of David Tennant (Doctor Who) pushing Bernard Cribbins (Wilfred Mott) in a wheelchair had previously been posted on Twitter.

Note that their insider said characters, plural.

The Sun goes on to point out:

Prior to that [Russell T Davies] the time machine’s interior was fairly flat and wheelchair-friendly, though that probably wasn’t intentional.

Maybe flat floors were just cheaper and easier but they seem to forget an earlier much loved wheeled companion, K9.

Though hidden from view he was wheeled.

Doctor Who fans might also recall that Russell T Davies recentl hinted at possible explanations for the return of David Tennant and Catherine Tate.

If the interior is being made wheelchair accessible for characters like Wilfred then that tells us that David Tennant will be piloting the new Tardis.

Not his own.

Which narrows the possibilities but doesn't completely rule out something like this being a previously untold adventure of the Doctor and Donna.

The Doctor stole the Tardis from the Time Lords.

He wouldn't be above borrowing a Tardis belonging to a future him should there be a need.

Like his Tardis being temporarily out of action which has happened on multiple occasions.

The next season of Doctor Who is scheduled to release in 2023.

Jodie Whittaker's final episode in the titular role is scheduled to air in October.
