Ugliness in social media isn't new but Halo Reddit moderators were recently forced to take the extreme measure of locking down the entire sub in the face of extreme toxicity.

Halo Infinite's launch has been controversial.

There's a lot of praise for the multiplayer gameplay but not so much its monetization. Plus as you can see from the moderator post, there are other issues.

It's a shame to see it devolve to the level quoted by mods. They detail some examples of what forced the lockdown.

But the advice of mods is sound.

Don't personalise commentary to other users. Talk about the subject, i.e. the game.

Report problem posts and allow mods to deal with them.
