Comedy couple Megan Mullally (Will and Grace, Parks and Recreation) and Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) heve joined the cast for the fourth and final season of Netflix's Umbrella Academy.

As "a pair of mild-mannered Midwestern community college professors".

It is difficult for us to imagine a more perfect union than this pair and that show.

Exceptional comedians joining one of Netflix's best and also possibly most underrated series.

Were we not already fans, seeing this casting announcement would tell us that this show has a strong comedic element which was not apparent in the minimal promotion we saw before giving it a look.

Also that it's substantial enough to attract and afford such high profile talent.

Could it be worth trying?

Yes. Yes it is.

David Gross (Arrested Development) also joins the cast next season but the headline is Megan and Nick.

All three characters are original, i.e. not from the comic books the series is based on.

Seasons one to three of The Umbrella Academy are available on Netflix.

There is presently no ETA on the fourth and final.
