A new chapter has been announced in the Australian made and set Occupation sci-fi film franchise, Occupation: Rainfall Chapter 2.

Joining returning characters from earlier films will be some well known names from sci-fi including Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) and Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica).

Chapter 2's synopsis:

Survival or extinction. Following the international success of ‘Occupation Rainfall’, comes the continuing chapters of the ‘Rainfall’ trilogy. Earth’s resistance is thrown into chaos as an ominous new threat ruthlessly hunts down the humans that are left, and any aliens who have joined them. With no clear leader and struggling to find common ground, the resistance finds itself on the brink of destruction. Aboard the Mothership, a group of survivors, plan to strike at the heart of the Alien threat – the Rainfall weapon – as the fate of all life hangs in the balance.

The earlier two films received mixed reviews from critics but scored reasonably well with audiences.

The second is available in Australia on Binge and Fox but unfortunately no streaming service carries the first and does anybody like seeing films out of order?

A third Rainfall film, so fourth in the Occupation series, will be filmed immediately after the second.
