Robocop Reveal

It's a day for sci-fi blasts from the past. In addition to announcing a new Terminator game, Nacon revealed gameplay for a RoboCop game they're working on.

Of course Terminator went on to be the subject of more film and television but the first three films stand apart and also in the distant past.

RoboCop also made three but its sequels were less stellar, especially the last one.

Followed by a mediocre fourth.

And four television series. Did we get those there?

The point of all of our blathering is RoboCop is unquestionably a sci-fi franchise.

Very likely there's paperwork of some variety to verify that.

But is there much hunger to be RoboCop?

Become the iconic part man, part machine, all cop hero as you attempt to bring justice to the dangerous, crime-ridden streets of Old Detroit. Armed with your trusty Auto-9, factory-built strength, years of experience on the force and a variety of tools at your disposal, you will fight forces seeking to destroy the city you call home in an all new first-person, explosive hunt for the truth. You have the power to decide how to fulfil prime directives in your own way, but as the story unfolds proceed with caution because corruption and greed know no limits.

Yay for fighting crime and corruption, and cyborgs can be cool but this franchise generally hasn't been.

That said this game may be good. We won't disregard it.

RoboCop: Rogue City is scheduled to release in June 2023.
