The Oz Comic-Con Homegrown makes its return today at the Sydney Showground. Hopefully everyone is having a great time and our own people who are in attendance will have lots talk about on this week's show.

In the meantime to satisfy your comic-con cravings you can take a look at one of its international sister events, the San Diego Comic-Con Special Edition which like ours, returned last week in a somewhat curtailed format this year because of COVID.

If you're looking for a quick fix, the San Diego Union-Tribune has published a nice, short, 3 minute video on the event, chatting to a few regulars who are delighted to be back.

If you have a bit more time and enthusiasm, you can find more comprehensive and detailed videos like this 40 minute one by a fan.

Pictured here are two brothers at the event who started a non-profit which makes superheroes out of cardboard.

Looking through their gallery may induce feelings of inadequacy if eg. you're the kind of person who sometimes struggles to even open a cardboard box. They've created some amazing pieces.
