Just yesterday we were remarking on how much money Star Citizen had raised through crowdfunding.

Yesterday, as reported by Eurogamer, they passed the 400 million mark, the last 50 million of that having been raised over the past 8 months.

Apparently people continue to throw money into that pit.

Perhaps the unfinished game which some players pay a subscription for and which is free to try for a short time, is impressive enough to inspire newcomers to empty their wallets.

We continue to be terrified but our curiosity has grown slightly.
