Star Wars the Old Republic's expansion Legacy of the Sith launched today and to accompany it they produced an excellent new cinematic trailer titled Disorder.

Their cinematic trailers have always impressed. It's a gorgeous scene which captures the spirit and aesthetic of the films perfectly.

Maybe too well on one level.

Now just over a decade after release, the game's combat system is quite primitive compared to a market in which action melee combat has evolved dramatically.

Mechanically it doesn't compare well to eg. fantasy action rpg Elden Ring which launches in a few weeks.

But there are no lightsabers in Elden Ring!

The Legacy of the Sith expansion is live now on PC.
