Without any previous experience of the property, June's action roleplaying game Xenoblade Chronicles 3 trailers left us scratching our heads in bewilderment.

Maybe it wasn't just us they confused because those have been followed up with a great 8 minute introductory trailer which sets up the game's story then demonstrates and showcases key features.

Their intersecting class and companion system looks interesting as does the ability to temporarily merge certain characters.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 releases on July 29 on Nintendo Switch.
