Sony's State of Play

Today Sony livestreamed their latest State of Play which included trailers for eight sci-fi titles. Listed below.

But we'll take a closer look at two of particular interest - a newly revealed Foundation (Asimov) VR2 game and upcoming action roleplaying antihero title, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

Horizon's Call

PlayStation's stable of games in the robo-dinosaur action roleplaying Horizon franchise will expand on February 22 with the addition of their VR2 title Horizon Call of the Mountain.

Of course there is a trailer.

New Aliens Game

Without any lovely screenshots or videos, a new single-player action horror Aliens game has been announced.

This new Aliens game will feature an original storyline, set between the Alien and Aliens films, where a battle hardened veteran has a vendetta against the Xenomorphs.

Startenders Launch

While we now have a drinks replicator on the market, and truly that's a marvel of convenience, Ten Foward was the place to go if you were serious about drinking on The Enterprise. Even synthahol.

We can't offer you your own personal Guinan, but Foggy Box Games have created a VR (virtual reality) game called Startenders which takes bartending to the next level by allowing you to pilot an intergalactic Bar Ship.

Not Neal's Metaverse

Author Neal Stephenson has tweeted clarification that he has no involvement in Facebook's Meta rebranding.

Since there seems to be growing confusion on this: I have nothing to do with anything that FB is up to involving the Metaverse, other than the obvious fact that they're using a term I coined in Snow Crash. There has been zero communication between me and FB & no biz relationship.
