We're back from our break and this week Avatar 2 to hit cinemas at last but will there be a game to accompany it? Disney splashes the cash for Doctor Who, conspiracy theorist favourite Inside Job is back, has Amazon replaced Stargate creator with its own writers for new series and the latest sci-fi to get the axe.
Netflix have cancelled fledgling series The Imperfects. Its trailer looked genuinely promising but that may just be a testament to Netflix's trailer producers.
We thought the show so bad we couldn't even finish watching the first episode.

This week old favourite Quantum Leap returns with a new twist, a super-secret Babylon 5 is confirmed complete, a Star Ocean mission update, The Imperfects hits screens suddenly and Jennifer Connelly is back in sci-fi.

During their Geeked Week event in June Netflix surprised everyone with a new series which hadn't originally been on their schedule for this year - The Imperfects.
They've now dropped its trailer which includes a release date just little over a week away.
This week sci-fi highlights from the Geeked Week TV and movies showcase, a look at the funny side of UFO horror film Nope and highlights from this year's games season.
Netflix conducted their first day of livestreaming for their annual Geeked Week event celebrating upcoming genre content.
Day One was dedicated to series and while we don't have enough time to watch the full two and a half hour stream, we have looked at all of the new teasers and trailers.
