Jedi Survivor Story

Electronic Arts this morning released the story trailer for action roleplaying game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and we are nonplussed.

It begins with fortune cookie "wisdom" about fire being cosy but dangerous, and ends with the suggestion that a place is only worth fighting for if the Empire isn't there.

Action adventure souls-like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's release date has been pushed back six weeks from March 17 to April 28 with the standard polish reason.

Curious that they didn't delay another week until May the 4th, Star Wars Day.

Violet McVinne, A former cinematic designer for Bioware, has tweeted video footage of a private joke type additional ending to action roleplaying game Mass Effect 3.

It's a little bit romantic. Player character Sheppard makes out with bad guy the Illusive Man.

EA Insults Singles

Electronic Arts make most of their money from live-service games, i.e. ones which require internet connectivity and players to log into a multiplayer server.

For the blessing of multiplayer - which isn't offered only by live-service games - many companies expect players to cough up extra money to buy digital products from their store.
