Nerdist have published a trio of articles on Disney's upcoming immersive Galactic Starcruiser attraction.

Disney CEO Bob Chapek recently flagged that Disney is looking towards the metaverse - like everyone else - but here we see the flip side of that where they've brought fiction to life.

They have constructed the interior of a Star Wars cruise ship and created a series of roleplaying scenarios which guests can engage with or ignore as they please. During a two night stay.

With their own personal story developing based on their choices.

Part live-action roleplay, part video game, part immersive theater, and part luxury service experience, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser incorporates multitudinous facets. In the early days of figuring out the experience, an operations partner suggested treating it as a cruise-style outing with a fixed itinerary. That comment brought things together.

The idea of spending a weekend living inside Star Wars is fascinating and as described by this playtester, it is a meticulously crafted and responsive experience.

Also magnificently expensive - $4800 (2 guests per cabin), $5300 (3 guests per cabin), $6000 (4 guests per cabin) on off-season weekdays.

Galactic Starcruiser will open on March 1, 2022 in Walt Disney World.
