Marvel Entertainment have released a new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser. What's the point, you may be wondering? It's already in cinemas.

Surprise - it's coming to Disney+ on June 22 just a month and a half after its May 6 cinema release.

In the world of streaming releases that's rapid fire and a move we might associate with failure or underperformance.

But this film is currently the highest grossing of 2022, having raked in $879 million worldwide.

Does Thor: Love and Thunder's story rely on it?

Are Disney wanting to make sure movie-goers have no excuse for staying at home in July?

Or perhaps they're pressing an advantage against a beleaguered Netflix?

Whatever the case may be Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be available to stream on Disney+ on June 22.
