Nathan on Joss
Posted By:

Following accusations of toxic workplace behaviour from multiple actors he has worked with on different sets, Joss Whedon stepped away from heading Victorian era sci-fi series The Nevers and has been treated as radioactive since.

In a recent interview Nathan Fillion shared that he would be willing to work with Joss again.

He was funny, self-deprecating, and incredibly talented. Maybe a little haunted. By his own admission, that guy is a work in progress. And I appreciate that. I would work with Joss again in a second. I would work with him in a second.

James Marsters had previously spoken about his experience working with Joss to the same interviewer, including what many might consider light physical assault - pushing him against a wall and speaking to him very unkindly after being forced by network execs to keep the unexpectedly popular character of Spike alive and in the show.

More Firefly would be welcomed by many fans, including ourselves, and Joss Whedon produces great entertainment.

But would the public and the industry allow him to return to work?

Could the prospect of the revival of a widely loved title like Firefly get him over that hurdle?

Firefly is now owned by Disney and they have put formerly disgraced directors back to work, eg. James Gunn.

If you're now feeling nostalgic, Firefly's one and only season is available to stream on Disney+.

Their film finale Serenity is available on Netflix, Binge and Foxtel Now.
