Thunderful Games have released a Fiona Nova Featurette for their upcoming game, The Gunk.

What's a Fiona Nova?

She's the voice actor for the main character, Rani, and while we didn't recognise her she is a moderately well known talent who up until earlier this year belonged to Rooster Teeth, a community built entertainment company.

Hence the featurette.

The game looks rather interesting and the titular gunk seems to be a horrible substance wrecking the environment of an alien planet.

It's not clear just from this featurette but gameplay is a mix of cleaning - with a suitably rewarding physical transformation of the environment - combat, exploration and puzzles.

Cleaning is an activity most people would regard as a chore and completely unworthy of gamification but who doesn't love gorgeously colourful alien landscapes?

Earth is also presently plagued by a range of human-created environmental problems and game content like this has the potential to shift public perception of those.

Fom distant and unsolveable to clean up jobs which just need to be tackled.

The Gunk releases on PC and Xbox on December 16.
