Star Wars being a somewhat biggish franchise, they often make multiple news ripples in any given week and this is just such a one.

There's new lots of new info about Star Wars Jedi: Survivor - combat stances, lightsaber combat and puzzle rooms. - a clip for The Mandalorian season 3 and Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon Jinn) has shared his opinion that there are too many Star Wars spinoffs.

It is unusual for actors to share any negative view of fictional works in which they've starred because they are de facto brand representatives for life.

In this case however, we reckon he's actually on message.

There’s so many spin-offs of Star Wars. It’s diluting it to me, and it’s taken away the mystery and the magic in a weird way.

The real problem is the new Disney trilogy.

Truly awful.

Dishonestly praised up the wazoo by critics.

Fans and casual viewers alike who didn't love them have been repeatedly and ridiculously roasted as racist in both regular and social media.

Box office takings declined sharply and Disney pulled back to the small screen where viewership numbers aren't public.

And continued to mangle the franchise and fan relations.

None of which they're likely to ever admit.

So Liam Neeson telling us that spinoffs are just diluting the franchise sets up a public platform from which Disney can announce scaling back television production which may very well be unprofitable.

The Mandalorian season 3 will premiere on Disney+ on March 1.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will launch on April 28 on PC (Steam and Epic), Xbox X|S and PS5.
