One possible standout from the enormous crowd of recent game trailers is for The Walking Dead: Last Mile which is being described as part game and part interactive live experience.

Not the first attempt at something like this but interesting nonetheless and of course The Walking Dead is very popular.

The Walking Dead: Last Mile is a near-unique new storytelling experiment, in which the people and events of an Alaskan community in the Walking Dead universe will be broadcast 24/7 in a series of livestreams.

and:

Viewers of Last Mile will become players through a couple of means. During the live event, mini-games will be available, and succcess in those games earns viewers Influence Points. Those points can then be spent on decisions that can affect the coiurse of the narrative, both small and large.

Ambitious.

That said, we found this trailer to be literally yawntastic.

To be fair we are tired and have watched easily north of sixty game trailers over the past few days.

On the other hand we are fans of The Walking Dead.

Perhaps what makes the show great - its characters and story - is just impossible to reproduce with what looks like new characters in a two minute trailer.

The Walking Dead: Last Mile begins on July 11th exclusively on Facebook Gaming and Facebook Watch.
