A video teaser has finally been released by the BBC for the upcoming Doctor Who anniversary specials.

The teaser is light on story details but reveals the titles of the three specials: The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder and The Giggle.

We also get a glimpse at some of the guest stars, including Heartstopper’s Yasmin Finney and Neil Patrick Harris.

David Tennant is back as the fourteenth Doctor after a shock twist with the regeneration of Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor. He’s joined by Catherine Tate reprising her role as long time sidekick Donna Noble.

The mysterious build up to the next season may be frustrating for fans, but recently reinstalled showrunner Russell T Davies is clearly relishing the process.

“If you thought the appearance of David Tennant was a shock, we’ve got plenty more surprises on the way. The path to Ncuti’s 15th Doctor is laden with mystery, horror, robots, puppets, danger and fun,” Davies told fans. “We’re giving you a year to speculate, and then all hell lets loose.”

The Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials premiere in November on Disney+ outside the UK.
