Entertainment giant Tencent have released a Chinese commercial starring Will Smith for their upcoming post-apocalyptic open world multiplayer survival game Undawn.

The ad is remarkable on several fronts.

To celebrate this year's Stranger Things day (November 6), Netflx have re-released the previously free-to-play and supported by microtransactions Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales.

As a Netflix exclusive (i.e. Netflix subscription required) and minus microtransactions.

Early Avatar?

In what might be a major development on the gaming landscape, out of Disney's D23 Expo came an update trailer for mobile / android MMO Avatar: Reckoning.

Both this and Ubisoft's single player action roleplaying game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora had been delayed to 2023. This trailer pegs Reckoning as "coming soon".

Ghostbusters Game?

In a move which feels a bit like shouting into a storm, Netflix has released a trailer for a new mobile game Into the Dead 2: Unleashed - Ghostbusters, up against the opening night of this year's Gamescom.

On top of that, this is the single most confusing game trailer we've ever encountered.

Unknown Tease

In talking up this year's Gamescon which will run from August 23 - 28, Geoff Keighley has teased that Unknown Worlds, of Subnautica and Natural Selection fame, will reveal their next game on the opening night.

Which will be a brand new sci-fi IP.

Avatar Reckoning Delayed

A new mostly cinematic trailer has dropped for free-to-play mobile massively online roleplaying game / shooter Avatar: Reckoning.

Just announced at the beginning of this year and expected to release before its end, it is now slated for 2023.

Unknown Worlds Project M

In their 2021 financial report, new owners Krafton have detailed that Subnautica developers Unknown Games are working on a "turn based strategy game set in a sci-fi world" for PC and mobile.

Via twitter Unknown Worlds have also today advertised a position for their next game in the Subnautica universe.
