It is being widely reported that Charlie Cox has confirmed that the upcoming Disney Daredevil: Born Again series won't be a continuation of the Netflix Daredevil series.

Upon cursory examination we found this to be an instance of misreporting.

In a brief interview with Extra TV at Disney's D23 Expo, Cox was asked the new versus continuation question.

He replied:

I don’t know anything. I haven’t seen a script and it's like the best feeling ever cos I currently have no secrets, and I've had so many secrets for so many years. So I literally can't give anything away. My feeling is, based on the title ‘Born Again,’ I think that the sense is it's going to be a new beginning. It's going to be different. It's going to be tonally different. It's going to be new stories and new ideas. Like Kevin [Feige] said, it's a season one. It's not season four. So it's a whole new thing. Which I think is the right way to go. If you're going to do it again, let's do it differently.

Based purely on the title he has a feeling it's not going to be a continuation, and Kevin Feige has apparently hinted at that.

But Cox knows nothing so can confirm nothing.
