Critics Choose Sci-Fi
Posted By:

Science fiction was a big winner at this year's Critics Choice Awards - in film though not television - and took home several major awards.

Original and inspired multiverse Everything Everywhere All at Once seizing 5 wins out of 14 nominations.

Building on her Golden Globes win, Cate Blanchett (Tar) beat Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once) to take home Best Actress.

While that's not an immediate win for sci-fi, we'll see her next in the film adaptation of sci-fi game Borderlands and we expect them to heavily capitalise on her critical success this year in its promotion.

Cate won Best Actress in drama at the Globes and Michelle the same in a musical or comedy so this may have been a very close race.

Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once) and Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) also repeated Golden Globe wins in the Best Supporting Actor/Actress categories.
