THQ Nordic have released a curiously titled "Explanation Trailer" for their upcoming sci-fi / fantasy roleplaying game, Elex II.

While an odd choice for a trailer title, it is as advertised. Full of explanation.

It begins with the narrator speaking to the player character, then slips into speaking as if to the person playing the character.

Talking about combat mechanics like light and heavy attacks. Which are super common in gaming.

It even goes so far as to explain basic gaming concepts like experience gain.

Most people watching this would be gamers and really don't need this stuff explained to them.

If there is a place for this level of information it would be in-game in the tutorial / starter area or text info.

Several times the trailer promises things like power beyond your imagining.

We can imagine quite a lot of power. Can they really deliver more than that?

Towards the end is possibly one of this and the original game's most appealing features - the jetpack.

It sounds like in this one it can be upgraded for full flight. Nice.

Elex II launches on March 1 on PC, Xbox and Playstation.
