TrekMovie.com report that over the weekend, a whole bunch of Star Trek: Original Series props sold for eye-watering prices.

Topping those was the phaser rifle held by Kirk during his first episode which sold for $615, 000 US ($834, 000 AU).

Interestingly it beat the pants off a George Reeves Superman costume ($350, 000 US / $475, 000 AU) and a Rocky leather jacket ($325, 000 US / $441, 000 AU).
