Fort Solis Q2
Posted By:

Upcoming third person thriller Fort Solis set in a mining outpost on Mars has been given a Q2 release date.

Interestingly their announcement describes it as an "immersive narrative thriller for the Netflix Generation".

Is there a Netflix generation?

Are they narratively distinctive and if so in what way?

Or is there some as yet unrevealed Netflix connection?

Very little information has been released about the game which was first revealed during last year's Summer Game Fest.

There's just an IGN interview in October last year.

Though a narrative title the base is free to explore in whatever manner players please, including the surface.

The deeper tunnels can be scary and as the story / the night progresses, a sandstorm worsens on the surface to the point where visibility is severely impaired.

The player character Jack is an engineer so there are no weapons in the game.

He is armed only with a multi-tool through which players can access information and complete engineering mini-games like hacking.

Jack's companion Julia converses with him throughout the game and can be controlled during certain sections.

There are "key sequences" in the story during which players can make choices which have consequences.

Player choices matter and can alter the game's ending.

Fort Solis is scheduled to release in Q2 this year on PC (Steam).
