IGN are doing one of their signature First's for upcoming souls-like action adventure Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, sequel to 2019's Fallen Order.

Bringing us 9 minutes of non-continuous gameplay and some details on enemies players will encounter.

Player character Cal Kestis has crash landed on the new to the Star Wars universe planet of Koboh.

What does he do there?

Lots of cool lightsaber waving and throwing things around with the Force.

But....

Jedi respect life.

They fight and if necessary kill only in defence of themselves or others.

Slaughtering random wildlife peacefully drinking from a river (shown above)?

Fighting animals is a common feature and often a necessity in many games but what is seen here is definitely not a Jedi act.

Like say, attempting to murder a sleeping child. Let alone your own nephew. As seen in the Episode 8 film.

Star Wars ain't what it used to be.

As sci-fi adventure games go this one looks solid and probably great value for money but the inclusion of that footage in this trailer tells us that Star Wars is managed by people who don't understand it at all.

Or worse, who do and just want to wreck it.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will launch on April 28 on PC (Steam and Epic), Xbox X|S and PS5.
