TV Insider reports that NBC has renewed La Brea.

Shot in Melbourne and regional Victoria, it's a special effects heavy sci-fi drama in which a whole bunch of people get sucked into a sinkhole and become trapped in a primeval land.

In September 9Now announced it coming to Australia in 2022.

With its strong performance overseas, renewal and the local connection, possibly 9 will market and schedule this for mainstream audiences. Don't often see that for sci-fi titles.

Definitely keeping an eye on this one and will let you know when more details become available.
