As part of their mid january multi-series announcement, Paramount included a detail in Star Trek: Prodigy's footnote which we didn't fully appreciate.

That it was coming to Nickelodeon international (i.e. outside of the US) channels.

In Australia Nickelodeon is with Foxtel and Prodigy has accordingly come to Binge.

We saw one report claiming that all ten previously released episodes would arrive on February 21 but only five landed yesterday.

That's unfortunate because it's in those later episodes that Prodigy firmly establishes that this is proper Star Trek.

For example, the Prime Directive applies all of the time and can't be disregarded when you reckon no-one will catch you breaking it.

Yes we're looking at you Discovery.

Also despite it being targeted at a younger audience, it is something which an adult and especially a Star Trek fan, could enjoy.

Star Trek: Prodigy episodes 1-10 are available now on Paramount+ and episodes 1-5 on Binge.

The remaining 10 episodes will release later this year.
