Not to be confused with Paramount's Strange New Worlds, Disney Animation Studio's Strange World is a sci-fi film about space exploration but obviously minus anything Star Trek.

As shown in this teaser trailer, the world in question is stupendously strange.

Which is exactly how we love our sci-fi.

Weird as hell.

Disney have really leaned into the freedom which animation offers and created a visual smorgasboard.

Was the trailer dialog any good?

It wasn't bad though we had to watch it again to check because our first watch was just marvelling at the pretty and preposterous planet.

So they've really nailed the visual element.

The voice cast includes some big sci-fi names like Jake Gyllenhaal (Spider-Man: Far from Home, Donnie Darko) and Alan Tudyk (Resident Alien, Firefly).

Strange World will land in Australian cinemas on November 24.
