Showtime have released a trailer for their upcoming series The Man Who Fell to Earth.

Good news for anyone suffering from reboot fatigue. This is a continuation of the story of the 1976 David Bowie film with Bill Nighy playing that now older alien and joined by another alien played by Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Super Awards

Nominations for the 2nd Annual Critics' Choice Super Awards have been announced.

These are by the same people but separate from the Critics' Choice Awards for movies and Critics' Choice Television Awards. The Supers are just for action, horror, superhero, sci-fi and fantasy movies and TV series.

Doctor Who Easter

Radio Times report a confirmed Easter release for Doctor Who's second of three 2022 specials based on a notation from that episode director's website.

Looking at her website now we can't find this. It only details that she directed the "spring special".

Prodigy on Binge

As part of their mid january multi-series announcement, Paramount included a detail in Star Trek: Prodigy's footnote which we didn't fully appreciate.

That it was coming to Nickelodeon international (i.e. outside of the US) channels.

The Boys Diabolical

Amazon have set a March 4 premiere date and released a trailer for The Boys Presents: Diabolical.

Even being a fan of The Boys and having seen other adult animated programming, this two and a half minute trailer left us wide-eyed.

Peacemaker Renewed

HBO's Peacemaker has been renewed for a second season and finished it's first on a true high with viewership up 44% from the premiere. It was also the best single day performance for any HBO Max original.

For anyone unfamiliar with typical viewer patterns, the norm is for significant drop off over the first few episodes - people checking out a new show and deciding it's not for them - then slow decline.

Fargo First

FX chief John Landgraf has announced that their upcoming Alien series won't be shot until after Fargo's season 5, though showrunner Noah Hawley is presently writing scripts for both.

He confirmed that the series won't include any existing characters from the films and revealed that it takes place before them on Earth approximately 70 years from our present time.

Stranger Things

Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer have typed a letter to fans containing a mix of news.

Due to its longer runtime and in order to deliver it to our screens as quickly as possible, season 4 will release in two parts on May 27 and July 1.

Bender Won't Bend

We previously talked about the fabulous revival of Futurama by Hulu and mentioned that all original cast had signed deals to return except for voice of Bender John DiMaggio whose deal was still being finalized.

Seems that neither Hulu nor Bender are willing to bend on salary.
