Good news everyone. Hulu is reviving animated sci-fi comedy classic Futurama.

From co-creator Matt Groening, "It’s a true honor to announce the triumphant return of Futurama one more time before we get canceled abruptly again."

Discovery Back Soon

Discovery returns from its mid-season break tomorrow and StarTrek.com have released some new pictures and published a primer.

Not Exactly Stargate News

In a curious confluence we found three news stories today which sadly aren't about the long-hoped revival of that beloved TV franchise, but which relate to it.

Space.com published a potentially confusing piece regarding the fate of the long-ago announced plans for Roland Emmerich to reboot the Stargate films.

Orville Shuttle Photo

Following up from his announcement of a delay to The Orville's season 3, Seth MacFarlane has tweeted an image of "The new shuttle" on a film set.

We noticed those vessels in the teaser provided yesterday but the one we see take off in the new intro sequence appeared to be leaving a station and could have been some other type of ship.

Apple have published their lineup of original TV series releasing this year.

There's not a lot of sci-fi - just two series - but out of a total of thirteen that's not too bad.

Babylon 5 Reboot Delayed

Via a patreon post J Michael Straczynski has announced an expected one year delay to the Babylon 5 Reboot, courtesy of CW having been put up for sale.

Deadline have reported 2022 CW pilot orders and Babylon 5 was not among them.

The Orville Delayed

Seth MacFarlane has tweeted slightly bad news with a delay to season 3 of The Orville: New Horizons. Previously scheduled for March 10 it has been pushed back to June 2.

Good news to go with the bad, he has shared a sneak peak.

A Look at La Brea

The New Daily have published an article on sci-fi sinkhole drama La Brea which is filmed in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

It covers notable locations where filming has taken place and they talk to one of the main cast, Australia's Rohan Mirchandaney.

Disney's Temperature

Disney have given the go ahead for a TV series adaptation of young adult sci-fi LGBT novel, The Temperature of Me and You.

The novel only released on January 25. Quite a fast turn around as adaptations go but the book was published through Disney and likely they were just waiting on decent book reviews before pulling the trigger on this series.
