As are many teasers, it's very short, but it looks decent.

Picard Season 2 Trailer

Paramount have released the official trailer for season 2 of Picard, just a few days after announcing its premiere date (March 3).

We would say that it looks like they're trying to revisit one of The Next Generation's high points - its eloquent and poignant time jumping finale - except for the presence of Guinan.

Star Trek Renewals

Paramount have announced renewals for Star Trek's DiscoveryStrange New Worlds and Lower Decks.

Also premiere dates for Picard (March 3) and Strange New Worlds (May 5).

Paramount have released a list of their top shows in various categories and Star Trek: Discovery was their number one watched original.

It has to be said that Paramount don't have alot of ongoing originals so it's a small pile to be on top of.

Last month shooting on the Patty Jenkins Star Wars film, Rogue Squadron was announced not to be moving ahead as scheduled.

Curiously there was no accompanying announcement of a delay of the film's expected cinema release date.

After Star Trek: Discovery unexpectedly vanished from Netflix recently just before season 4 was due to release, many viewers might have checked the Paramount+ listings in Australia, seen that Discovery wasn't there, and not thought to check again.

Discovery Recovery

Following their recent surprise exit from Netflix and complete absence from any streaming service in much of the world, Paramount have announced that beginning November 26 Star Trek: Discovery season 4 will stream globally on Paramount+ where that is available.

We have Paramount+ in Australia so it should release this evening.
