Skies Station

During last year's Summer of Gaming, one of the standout trailers was for novel post-apocalyptic survival crafting game Forever Skies.

In November they delayed their early access launch into this year so they could implement more features. They've just unveiled the first of those and it strikes us as pointless.

Starfield Surprise

Action roleplaying game Starfield was previously scheduled to release last year (11/11/2022) then bumped to the first half of this year - which is approaching half over and packed with other major releases.

Barotrauma 1.0

Having just remarked in relation to an unremarkable title we're commenting only because the present dearth of trailers, it's nice to see the flip side to that.

Barotrauma is a novel and incredibly successful (2.5 million copies sold) indie game we'd never heard of and probably wouldn't have noticed in a typical week. They've announced an early access exit this month.

Beneath Fear

We watched the announcement trailer for new survival horror game Beneath and all we could muster was, "Oh another one."

In fairness it's not a genre we play so the failure of this video to move us may be personal.

Dune Survival

Creative Director of the upcoming Dune MMO (massively multiplayer online game) Joel Bylos has sat down for an interview with PC Gamer and dished some of the first details we have about this title.

Many are expected, like survival being dependant on water and spice. Also avoiding worms. But there were two worthy of attention.

Heart v Hogwarts

Last week developers of retro futuristic soviet action roleplaying game Atomic Heart released what we regarded as a clever advertisement taking aim at their biggest competitor, fantasy action roleplaying game Hogwarts Legacy set in the Harry Potter universe.

This week one website, True Achievements, is claiming some degree of success but this is definitely one of those instances of lies, damn lies and statistics.

Sony's State of Play

Today Sony livestreamed their latest State of Play which included trailers for eight sci-fi titles. Listed below.

But we'll take a closer look at two of particular interest - a newly revealed Foundation (Asimov) VR2 game and upcoming action roleplaying antihero title, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

The ad is remarkable on several fronts.
