Firaxis have released both a combat overview trailer and a "Let's Go!" special message for their upcoming tactical roleplaying game Marvel's Midnight Suns.

From people who've been able to play it - which isn't us - there's a lot of love for the gameplay but not the story.

We watched the first in a series of animated prequel shorts a few weeks ago and were surprised that the writing isn't better.

It's not awful but one generally expects everything Marvel to be, well, marvellous.

Just being an animated short rather than the game, one might be able to forgive that, but it is something they've put out there as a promotion.

That got 189K views and those which followed 95K, 117K and 55K.

Their special message details 65 thousand lines of dialog.

That is a lot by anyone's standards, except maybe Bethesda whose upcoming roleplaying game Starfield has passed 250 thousand.

Marvel's Midnight Suns launches on December 2 on PC, Xbox One and X|S, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Nintendo Switch.
