Having completely dominated gaming news of late we had seriously thought that maybe Gotham Knights would take a few days off for Gamescom.

Nope. This morning they tweeted their inclusion in its Opening Night which here in Australia will be streaming on the 24th at 4 AM AEST.

Ok, it probably doesn't make sense for any game developer to take any time off from marketing.

And there are more details about the game that we'd like to know.

The character we've seen least of at this point is Robin but ever since Warner Bros. shelved the Batgirl film, her character has featured prominently in Gotham Knights promos.

Does the tweet content give anything away?

Not really.

There's already been lots of information revealed so that can't be the beginning to which they refer.

Are they teasing plans beyond the game?

Normally we'd call that premature.

For all that Gotham Knights looks impressive and is shaping up to be one of this year's biggest titles, developers rarely detail long term plans before release because you can never really be sure how it will be received and perform.

When grand plans come crashing down due to inadequate performance it only compounds perceived failure.

Maybe Warner Bros. are that confident of success?

Gotham Knights releases on PC, Xbox and PlayStation on October 25.
