The first two character introduction trailers for sci-fi / fantasy roleplaying game Star Ocean the Divine Force have been released.

Raymond Lawrence and Laeticia Aucerius are the two protagonists players can choose between.

Raymond's begins with:

If you thought I said some weird stuff before, brace yourself.

He delivers on the promise with a jumbled collection of dialog, eg.

What kinda captain would I be if I told my crew to start offin' themselves!?

Laeticia's is less random and sounds like a sample intended to preview her story.

If you haven't watched the three videos they released a few weeks ago, they provide some background for this pair which is lacking in these character introduction trailers.

Raymond's ship is fired upon without provocation by a Federation vessel, hence his declaration to destroy them in this trailer.

He and his crew abandon ship and their escape pods land separately on a low technology world.

Where he meets Laeticia.

His character and crew bring the sci-fi, Laeticia and others from her planet the fantasy.

Star Ocean the Divine Force releases on PC (Steam), Xbox and PlayStation on October 27.
