Square Enix have released the next two character trailers for upcoming sci-fi / fantasy roleplaying game Star Ocean the Divine Force.

This time for Elena and Albaird Bergholm.

Elena is the first mate of Raymond who is one of the playable characters.

The sci-fi one.

We can't recall the specifics and don't have time to rewatch the earlier trailers, but something this character does in the opening cinematics trailer struck us as suspicious.

Like the developers were trying to tip us off to the fact she might not be entirely as advertised and could, eg. be responsible for their ship being mysteriously fired upon by the Federation vessel.

As long as humanoids exist now, their desired utopia will never exist.

Putting aside the eye-watering repeat "exist" in that sentence, this has a certain potentially sinister undertone.

Albaird Bergholm is bodyguard to the other playable character Laeticia.

The fantasy one.

He's also a knight.

And says many knightly things in his trailer.

Star Ocean the Divine Force releases on PC (Steam), Xbox and PlayStation on October 27.
