Though not streaming internationally on new home Disney+ until November, the BBC have released the first teaser for the 2023 Doctor Who Specials and it's very heavy on Ds.

The Mirror claims that villainous spinoffs are in the works for Doctor Who courtesy of their Disney deal.
Fans can expect to see Sontarans, Weeping Angels and Sea Devils in separate series showing what they get up to when the Doctor isn’t there to stop them, along with Daleks and Cybermen.

Into the silent PR abyss of late Sunday night (early Monday morning here), the BBC dropped news of Ncuti Gatwa taking on the role of the next Doctor Who. Or as it turns out, the next after David Tennant's second stint.
The announcement about who will play his companion, Millie Gibson, was made with more fanfare (and also some warning) during BBC's Children in Need event on a Friday. Her character's name is Ruby Sunday.

We're back from our break and this week Avatar 2 to hit cinemas at last but will there be a game to accompany it? Disney splashes the cash for Doctor Who, conspiracy theorist favourite Inside Job is back, has Amazon replaced Stargate creator with its own writers for new series and the latest sci-fi to get the axe.
UK entertainment magazine Broadcast has estimated the budget for the next series of Doctor Who could be in the region of 10 million pounds per episode. Up from 1 to 3 million.
The BBC declined to comment on the estimate but following Disney's acquisition of global streaming rights for the next series outside of the UK, it's not an unbelievable figure.
For much of their history, Radio Times were owned by the BBC and unsurprisingly tend never to speak ill of Doctor Who.
When discussing the recently revealed viewing numbers for Jodie Whittaker's final episode (spoilers ahead), again they don't speak ill of that or the Chibnall era, but do throw in a few extra numbers to show that the final episode only had half as many viewers (5.3 million) as his first (10.9 million).
