A video teaser has finally been released by the BBC for the upcoming Doctor Who anniversary specials, revealing their titles and glimpses of guest stars.
This week is a big one with the Guardians hitting cinemas, Apple's latest underground sci-fi series Silo premieres this week, long-awaited Star Trek: Resurgence launches, also Tron: Identity and alien survival sim Stranded: Alien Dawn as well a peek a the upcoming Doctor Who anniversary specials.

With Doctor Who's 60th Anniversary return half a year away, we hadn't been expecting to hear much on this front for some months but the BBC have surprised us.
Preceding this year's specials will be a trans media event called Doom's Day.

Thirteenth Doctor Who actor Jodie Whittaker has landed her first post Tardis role and it's in our backyard. Or on our beaches, rather.
She has temporarily relocated down under to film the six part series One Night (not sci-fi) set against the New South Wales coastline. Filming has already commenced in the Sydney and Illawarra region.
In a recent interview with GQ, returning Doctor Who showrunner Russell T. Davies touched on diversity in a manner which while true we suspected might be unwise given the broader sci-fi landscape.
By itself possibly not worth commenting on except that this morning we saw numerous sites reporting Davies expressing a very different and also uncharacteristic view about diversity - "lambasting" it.
Our title refers to the budget for the next series of Doctor Who, which in November UK entertainment magazine Broadcast estimated could be in the region of 10 million pounds per episode, up from 1-3, but Russell T. Davies has now debunked:
