KOTOR Remake On Hold

Bloomberg reports that the remake of classic roleplaying game Knights of the Old Republic has been paused indefinitely after nearly three years in development.

As with the delay to Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora we wonder if this might be a mid-development pivot in response to the market.

The Star Wars Shuffle

For a long time the question of which Star Wars film project will reach cinemas next had been up in the air but six weeks ago Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy told us it would be Taika Waititi's with a late 2023 premiere.

Now we're seeing signs which make us wonder if he too will be shuffled off the Dejarik (holochess) board following the mixed response to his Thor: Love and Thunder.

No it's not another article about the extraordinarily expensive Star Wars live action roleplay hotel Galactic Starcruiser.

Though it shouldn't surprise anyone that a vacation special titled LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation does appear to feature that vessel.

Obi-Wan Kenobi - Fight

Lucasfilm have released another teaser for Obi-Wan Kenobi, this one titled Fight.

In it we see and hear Bail Organa telling Obi-Wan to put the past behind him - presumably referring to his being a Jedi?

Stranger Versus Star

Netflix's Stranger Things and Disney's Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi unofficially went head-to-head last week with both releasing on the same day.

According to Samba TV, Stranger Things won with 2.9 million U.S. households tuning in over the 4-day holiday weekend, and 2.14 million households watching Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Continuing and possibly closing out May's Star Wars blitz is a season 2 trailer for animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch.

Slated for a US Fall, i.e. September - December, release on Disney+.

Skeleton Crew

Lucasfilm have revealed the name and a few basic details about a new series expected to premiere next year on Disney+ - Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.

John Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home) will direct, Jude Law will star and it focuses on four lost children trying to get home.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor

The Star Wars reveals continue with a trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, sequel to action adventure game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

We're only vaguely familiar with the original game and a lot of the recent film and TV offerings so the trailer doesn't really speak to us.
