While Starfield was the star of the recent Xbox & Bethesda games showcase it was far from alone and we've selected a few others to highlight.

Most won't be out until at least next year but we'll start with a few coming sooner.

Starfield Revealed

Coming out of the Xbox and Bethesda showcase was first gameplay and story footage for Bethesda's highly antipicated next roleplaying game Starfield.

And lots of very exciting details.

Fallout Meets Doctor Who

It's not an official Fallout and Doctor Who crossover - that would be something.

Rather two former Doctor Who stars, Colin Baker (sixth) and Sylvester McCoy (seventh) have voiced a pair of scientists who converse during character creation in fan made Fallout: London mod for Bethesda's Fallout 4.

Starfield Delayed

Originally scheduled for a November (i.e. 11) 11 release which would coincide with Skyrim's 11th anniversary, Bethesda have delayed their sci-fi roleplaying game, Starfield to 2023.

Joining it is Arkane's first person shooter vampire game, Redfall.

Starfield Dev Diary

Bethesda have published their third dev diary for upcoming sci-fi roleplaying game Starfield and this one is all about sound.

We found the first three minutes a yawn but it picked up once they started talking about the actual music and the process of making it.

Xbox & Bethesda Showcase

Following the full cancellation of this year's E3, Microsoft have announced that they will hold their own Xbox and Bethesda showcase on June 12 which will be streamed online.

Bethesda's Nasapunk roleplaying game Starfield is due to release later this year and doubtless will feature prominently in the show.

Bethesda have published a very brief meet the character type video for your robotic companion, Vasco, in Starfield.

There isn't much in this but would anyone take a sci-fi roleplaying game without a robotic companion seriously?

Bethesda have released their second dev diary for upcoming space roleplaying game (RPG), Starfield.

As with the previous one, we didn't love everything they had to say.

Bethesda Retiring Launcher

Game development studio Bethesda have announced the closure of their dedicated launcher in May and that all games purchased on it can be migrated to Steam beginning in April.

This marks the end of their attempt to compete with Steam as an electronic storefront and retain the sizeable cut of revenues which Steam claim.

NASA-Punk Starfield

Closing out our week heavy in major sci-fi game releases and news, Bethesda have released a concept art trailer for their upcoming and highly anticipated space roleplaying game, Starfield.

With it they also announced an art giveaway for which you need to register as a member of their Constellation Group.
